Thinking About Glenda & Mesothelioma

Last night Linda spent the night with her sister, I feel it did both her and her sister good to spend time together. Linda wanted me to go with her, but I declined. I though with just Linda and Glenda they could really have a much closer visit as twin sisters.
Oh I know that neither Glenda nor Linda would have objected one bit for me being there, I think very much of Glenda, have grown to love her much over the years with her being my sister-in-law. But still I thought and hoped they could have a great visits together.
I remember my first date with Linda, I knew she had a twin sister, but when Glenda opened the door as I knocked I was kind of surprised, there stood someone who looked like Linda who I had a date with, there she stood in an old pair of blue jeans, and a faded out shirt.
Before I realized this was Glenda, not Linda, I though, surely she is not going to wear this grab on her first date with me, what's going on here, should I leave?
About that time Glenda said, "I'm not Linda, I'm Glenda, want you please come in, Linda is nearly ready."
As I walked in, there come Linda out from the hall way, when I saw her I though, yes, that is the way you dress for the first date. That following May Linda and I got married.
We have had fun and laughs about that moment many times. It tickles Glenda to think about the expression I had on my face when she answered the door, I'm sure it was quite a surprised look.
Linda and I have spent every Christmas with Glenda except for the first one after being married, for in December of 1968 I spent Christmas at Anderson AFB, Guam. I sure hope and pray that this Mesothelioma cancer does not get her before this Christmas, I hope we all have at least one more together.
May God Bless,
Jerry
